Hasbro Star Wars Angry Birds AT-AT Attack Review
This is a great looking fighter/launcher set that fans of Angry Birds and Star Wars will likely love. The Angry Birds Star Wars toys are unique and unusual, giving kids the opportunity to play an Angry Birds game with Star Wars characters for real, instead of just in the Angry Birds app.
The ‘good guys’ are the Angry Birds characters including Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and rebel troopers. The ‘bad guys’ are the pigs, including Darth Vader and the stormtroopers.
But the real star of the show is the AT-AT stage, the massive walking machine on four legs that features in the Star Wars movies. It’s a cool model that looks truly awesome.
How To Play
So how do you play the Angry Birds Star Wars game? It’s pretty simple. You build up the blocks, then players use the Lightsaber Launcher to fire a bird character at the pigs, knocking down some of the blocks and scoring points that way. You could also paint the blocks and some of the other pieces to make it even more unique.
Room For Improvement?
It’s a fun game, but we don’t think it’s quite as good as it could have been. If you are used to the Angry Birds Star Wars app, you may be disappointed that the blocks in this game are very easy to knock down. They don’t have the resistance that the blocks in the apps offer.
Another downside is that the pieces are not great quality plastic, and smaller than you might expect from some of the manufacturer’s pictures. However, this is not something that most kids will notice, it’s more of an adult comment. Kids probably will not care.
The Angry Birds Star Wars AT-AT Attack battle game is a toy that most kids will love, especially if they are Star Wars fans. Adults may not be so impressed but kids will have loads of fun with the catapult-style launcher and the game could keep them happy for hours.
