Angry Birds Star Wars Jenga Death Star Game Review

Jenga Death Game verticalThe Jenga Death Star is a great Angry Birds Star Wars game for kids. They get to assemble it and then destroy the Death Star, firing the figures at it from a catapult. Then they get to chase all over to pick up the pieces again (make sure you don’t do that part!)

Obviously any fan of Angry Birds Star Wars fighter pods is going to adore it. But it also has a lot of appeal for any child who likes firing missiles. It gives them a big target that is easy to hit but takes a while to destroy. So it’s not the kind of game that is over in seconds. It will keep them occupied!

What You Should Know Before You Buy

Looking at customer reviews, there were very few complaints about the Angry Birds Star Wars Fighter Pods Jenga Death Star Game. The main issue for parents was that some kids find it difficult to put the Death Star together alone. We guess that in most of these cases, the kids were under age 8, i.e. below the recommended age for this toy.

Five and six-year-olds love it but if you buy it for a child of that age, you have to be prepared to help them with it. The pieces are numbered and there’s a chart so putting it together is not difficult for a kid who has good co-ordination and can count – which is most 8-year-olds, but not so many 5-year-olds.

The figures are good quality and so is the slingshot catapult, which is made like a mini space ship. The Star Wars catapult is another thing that can be difficult to use for younger kids but if they persist – which they will if they like the game, and most kids do – it is a great opportunity to improve their co-ordination.

Our Verdict

This could be the perfect gift for a child who likes Angry Birds Star Wars toys – and it’s an absolute essential for the large number of kids who are simply obsessed!
