Fisher-Price Drillin’ Action Tool Set Review

Fisher-Price drill with boyAre you observing that your child is curious about the tools that you are using to make small repairs around your house? Then this Fisher-Price drill and hammer set could be the right toy for him or her.

This Fisher Price tool set has been made to fit in the little hands of your child comfortably and they will be able to pretend to fix things just like their parents. The bits, hammer and drill are created out of durable plastic materials. The hammer is bright orange plastic which may not look totally realistic but kids don’t seem to mind and the drill really looks like the real thing.

Fisher-Price drill The drill has both reverse and forward functions with a switch on the top to change from one to the other, just like a real drill. The hammer has the regular 2 sides, one for pounding nails and the other for pulling nails out. The pieces of this tool set should be handled in a proper way for them to work, so it helps to develop children’s manual dexterity as well as giving them a challenge to solve.

Of course, even though this toy looks like the real thing, it doesn’t have the full capabilities and functions of a real hammer and drill and there are limits to what you can do with the tools. The drill can screw and unscrew the provided plastic bolts in and out of the carry case, but it can’t make holes in anything! The recommended age range is 2-6 but I wouldn’t get this for a 5 or 6 year old. It’s best for kids aged 2-4 in my opinion.

Overall, the Fisher-Price Drillin’ Action tool set is a great toy for preschoolers. It helps in encouraging developmental and imaginative play and lets them play at doing grownup things. This tool set will keep most kids happily occupied for a long period of time. A good choice for little ones.
