Just Dance Game Review
The Just Dance video game series is a lot of fun, and Just Dance 4 is no exception. You can get together with friends or family and challenge each other to see who is best at the dance moves. You can also organize into teams for the ‘bring your crew’ team dance battles.
Most customers loved this game although a few people who were used to an older version didn’t appreciate the new features so much. It’s perhaps more of a girly game than a masculine thing, especially when it comes to using it for exercise, which is the main feature for a lot of people. Yes you can learn dance moves (but you might be embarrassed to do some of them in public!) and it’s a lot of fun for parties, but one of the best features is the ‘Just Sweat It’ mode where you can use it for exercise.
For ‘Just Sweat It’, you can choose either 10 minutes, 25 minutes or 45 minutes of dance time and a genre of music. Warm up and cool down stretches are included. It’s different from the previous versions where you could just pick your own playlist. Now you get to choose from:
Aerobics in Space (Dynamic Fitness Steps / 80’s Pop Music)
Sweat Around the World (Latin Dance Practice / World Music)
Electro Body Combat (Cardio Fighting Exercise / Electro Music)
Cheerleader’s Boot Camp (Extreme Training / Punk Rock Music)
This is probably better for a graded workout and you can be sure of burning a certain number of calories. On the other hand, some people who had used earlier versions of the Just Dance game were disappointed that they couldn’t simply pick their favorite songs any more.
Another new feature is the Dance Quest which gives you a number of points to aim for. Each song includes a couple of Gold moves, difficult moves that get you more points. If you dance well and hit all the Gold moves, you’ll gain more ‘mojo points’ to work your way to the next level of the game.
All in all, it’s an excellent buy for people who like to dance, especially those who will use it as a workout.
