Hide and Seek Climber and Swing from Little Tikes: Review
Kids love climbing, sliding and swinging on the sets at the park. With this playset kids have have a lot of the same activities right there at home. You can set it up either inside the house or in the yard.
Assembly is easy and if you want to move or store it the easiest way is to take off the swing and put it inside the slide. There are no sharp edges and it’s designed for safety.
There’s plenty for kids to do and explore, with the windows and crawl hole as well as the slide and swing. Kids who can get up stairs should be able to climb or wriggle up to the top of the slide and if they can’t make it on their own yet, you can lift them up there.
They can hide under the slide and at the top, and have fun playing peek-a-boo through the windows and crawl hole.
So why do we only give this 3.5 stars? Well, some parents complained that the supports for the swing are not strong enough. Have a larger child wriggljng around on it or have an accident while moving it, and it could easily break.
We think the manufacturer’s age range of 1-3 is optimistic and most kids will grow out of it before they are 3. You’d want to be buying this for a child around or even before their first birthday.
I would probably get this for a baby age maybe 9 months, just using the swing at first and have them play on the slide more as they grow. But keep in mind that is just my personal view and the manufacturers don’t say it’s safe for children under 12 months.
This is a great playset for the right child at the right time. Not the sturdiest swing perhaps but should be fine for a little one just around the age when they are starting to walk. I wouldn’t get it for an older child.
