Step2 All Star Sports Climber and Slide Review
The Step2Climber is very durable and is capable of standing up to the frequent usage by children that it’s likely to get. Its size is just enough for your child to be able to play indoors during the cold weather and you can also set it outside for active outdoor play. This kind of climber and sports toy is a great way to encourage your child to be active in a safe way. Kids can play with this Step2 Climber either alone or with other kids and there are things for siblings of different ages to do.
Climbing and sliding is the first thing that any child will try and many of them will do it over and over. If they’re a little bigger they can try shooting the basketball in the basket. Aside from that, their throwing skills will be put to the test by throwing the football through the hole at the top to score. There’s a soccer goal area for kids to practice their kicking skills. All of these games will help kids to develop coordination and strength.
One thing that you should know about this toy set is that it is not that easy to assemble. It may need some strength to attach the plastic pieces together and it’s easier done with two people. You’ll also need some way to inflate the balls.
The other point that parents have mentioned is the age range. The manufacturers say 2-8 but the slide is too small for children over about 4 years old. We think kids from about 18 months to 4 years will like it although you will have to watch that little ones don’t go through the hole at the top of the slide.
Aside from that, this toy is definitely worth buying for your child to be active and healthy while having fun at the same time. There’s plenty to do here and it’s a good first step to encourage children to play sports.
