The Tabeo E2 is an 8 inch tablet PC for kids and it is offered in several colors which are blue, silver and pink. It has a full touch screen display and has an excellent resolution that can compete with many modern smartphones and tablet PCs today. The resolution and clarity of the display of the Tabeo E2 tablet are some reasons why this Tabeo tablet looks less like a toy and therefore “cooler” than other kids’ tablets. Its price also comes close to standard tablets nowadays.
Unfortunately feedback from parents suggests there are some problems with the latest Tabeo tablet for kids. Let’s find out more.

Tabeo E2 Kids Tablet Review
The Tabeo e2 is beyond powerful for a kid’s tablet which means any child will definitely enjoy using it and it is durable enough to last a long period of time. It even has a large 8 inch touchscreen which is more than enough for a standard tablet.
It has a clear and crisp 1024×768 display resolution for kids to view high quality videos, movies and pictures. The tablet has been approved to be suitable for kids 6 years old and up, although some of the games are intended for older children. That’s okay though, you want a range of games at different levels so kids have some progression to make.
The tablet has a rubberized siding and is designed to endure rough treatment that most kids will give it. It has both rear and front facing cameras, a speaker and a built-in mic, a microSD slot that supports up to 64 GB and 1 GB of RAM that makes it capable of opening almost any apps and games at once.
It has fun and educational games such as Fruit Ninja, Bejeweled 2 and Operation Math. It even has iStoryBooks and other games and apps can be easily accessed through the pre-installed Tabeo store. However, you won’t find that it has all of the games that you could download for a computer.
The e2 seems to be a better model than the previous Tabeo but there are still some issues. Parents have reported that the parental controls are not reliable. For example, our reader Jennifer in the comment below says that her 5-year-old child’s Tabeo e2 was accessing dating sites with photos of provocatively dressed women. Other parents report that the parental controls block access to everything, even the games that have already been downloaded. There are also issues with battery charging and some that just stop working.
Tabeo e2 Review Summary
Overall, the Tabeo e2 is an okay product if yours works correctly but we think there are better kids’ tablets around. For example, take a look at our review of the LeapPad Ultra. Don’t be put off from getting a tablet of some kind for your kids because they are a great opportunity to give a child something that is both educational and fun, as well as having the ‘cool factor’.
