Chuggington Wooden Railway Engines Review
These trains are designed for preschool kids who love trains and especially those kids who are fans of the Chuggington show which can be seen on the Disney channel. Even though they are designed for little ones, they will still have fun with their trains even when they get older and even adults can join the fun.
The colors of the engines are vibrant and easily attract children. They also have great details and are made with highly durable materials for a long life expectancy. One thing to note is that the engines are not 100% wood. The name Chuggington Wooden Railway relates more to the tracks. Like most toy trains they are mostly plastic bodied.
The engines include various characters which are sold separately and these are Calley Harrison, Irvina Piper, Oliver Chatsworth, Speedy Mcallister, Skylar, Mtambo, Emery, Frostini, Dunbar, Hodge, Hoot and Toot, Zephie, Musical Car, Action Chugger, Old Puffer Pete, Koko, Brewster and Wilson. Every character has their own identity along with their own trading card.
There are several different Chuggington wooden train sets that your child can choose from as a starter set. You can buy and add additional wood tracks to make larger railways. You can also purchase items such as a station, bridges, tunnels and other constructions for a more realistic playing experience.
Even though this train toy set is compatible with the Thomas train tracks for width, the Chuggington Wooden Railway engines will not fit under the Thomas bridges and tunnels because they are taller than Thomas trains. Keep that in mind if you are considering buying Chuggington trains for a child who already has a Thomas train set.
All in all, the Chuggington trains are great for children’s little hands, offering many hours of fun imaginative play. They come at a low price that will surely fit your budget too. Highly recommended.
